This special edition F2A was produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Nikon cameras in the US market. It was a speical request by EPOI the then sole American importer of Nikon equipment. It was believed a total of 4000 units were produced. Apart from the "25 Anniversary" metal plaque on the front and a specially engraved serial number on the bottom plate, this camera is no difference from other ordinary F2s.

 

 
The bottom plate was engraved with a special 25th anniversay number ranging from 25-0001 to 25-4000 (?)
